The Miracle Milk Cookie Recipe

When I first became a mom, a sweet friend made me fresh baked lactation cookies and the gesture itself truly transformed my postpartum journey. When I tried to order more online, I couldn’t find any soft baked lactation cookies! So I decided to create my own recipe called 'The Miracle Milk Cookie.' Before I knew it, the recipe had gone viral with mentions in Health Magazine, PopSugar and tons of re-pins on Pinterest. Eventually, I started shipping my soft-baked 'Miracle Milkookies' to doorsteps everywhere and the rest is history!

I want everyone to be able to benefit from these incredible 'Kookies', so if you don't order them from me, hopefully you will have the chance to make them for yourself and get a little extra boost!

Xo, Whitney

Ingredients:

    • 2 Tbsp. flaxseed meal
    • 4 Tbsp. water
    • 1 cup butter, softened (Note: don't let the butter melt fully, room temp works best)
    • 1 cup white sugar
    • 1 cup brown sugar
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 tsp. vanilla
    • 2 cups all purpose flour
    • 1 tsp. baking soda
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 2-6 Tbsp. Brewer’s Yeast (This is the active ingredient, so the more the better. I use about 3 Tbsp. and it works great!)
    • 3 cups quick oats (sometimes I like to blend these up into a flour-like consistency for a different texture)
    • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375ºF.
  2. Mix together the flaxseed and water and let sit for 5 minutes
  3. Meanwhile, cream together the softened butter and sugars
  4. Add eggs one at a time and mix well
  5. Add flaxseed mix and vanilla
  6. In a medium bowl, combine together flour, baking soda, salt, Brewer’s Yeast, and oats
  7. Add to the butter mixture 1/2 cup at a time
  8. Once the dough is mixed together well, add chocolate chips
  9. Bake for 9-11 minutes
